Receptn Owner Alerts

Public opt-in evidence updated July 14, 2026.

How business owners opt in

  1. An authorized business owner creates or signs in to a Receptn account.
  2. During account onboarding, the owner opens the authenticated alert setup page at app.receptn.com/onboarding/alerts.
  3. The owner enters a mobile number in the Owner mobile field.
  4. The owner actively selects the separate SMS consent checkbox shown below. For first-time enrollment, with no consent already on file, the checkbox is never pre-selected and renders unchecked. A returning owner who has already opted in sees their stored preference reflected, and can uncheck it at any time to withdraw consent. Either way, the owner can leave the box unchecked and still submit the form to use email alerts.
  5. The owner selects Save & continue. If the box is checked, Receptn records the consent and enables SMS owner alerts. If it is unchecked, Receptn saves the contact details without enabling SMS alerts.

The operational form requires an authenticated Receptn account. This page provides public evidence of the complete consent language and the first-time unchecked default state for carrier review.

Consent shown at the point of opt-in

The SMS consent checkbox is separate, optional, and unchecked by default for first-time enrollment. A returning owner who already opted in sees that stored preference reflected here instead, and can uncheck it to withdraw. The form can be submitted without selecting it.
